AOL announced that Gold Rush is making its return this fall,
exclusively on AOL. As with the original, “Gold
Rush Goes Hollywood” is co-produced by legendary TV pioneer Mark
Burnett. The groundbreaking interactive game lets players turn their
pop culture smarts into real gold. The original Gold Rush attracted
nearly 11 million users and five blue chip sponsors.

Gold Rush Winner Is Michael Kearney
The winner of the top prize of $1 million in AOL’s Gold Rush is Michael Kearney of Nashville, Tennessee. Kearney initially won $100,000 during the qualifying Gold Competition held in Atlanta, and now becomes the first $1 million winner in the online reality game.

Gold Rush Final Round Kicks Off
The final round of Gold Rush (www.aol.com/goldrush), the groundbreaking seven-week interactive game from AOL and Mark Burnett where players can turn their pop culture know-how into $1 million in gold, begins Thursday, October 26. Online challenges will open at 12 Noon ET that day and the first six players to correctly solve all the puzzles and trivia quizzes in this special round will be eligible to join in the ultimate pop culture tournament for the game’s $1 million grand prize, culminating on Thursday, November 9.

Mark Steines To Host Gold Rush
Mark Steines, co-anchor of Entertainment Tonight, has been signed as the host of Gold Rush, the groundbreaking seven-week interactive reality event created by Mark Burnett Productions and AOL.com beginning September 13th. Steines has been with Entertainment Tonight, the #1 magazine program in syndication, since 1995.
