TBS launched a grass-roots marketing campaign like no other in promoting Pauly Shore’s new reality TV show “Minding the Store.” First, TBS put out a press release that Pauly Shore would offer a money-back guarantee to anyone who failed to laugh while watching “Minding the Store.” How much money? Well, only a dollar, and it is also caps out at the first 250,000 to respond.

Pauly Shore Offers Money-Back Guarantee for New Reality Show

Pauly Shore (Encino Man, Pauly Shore Is Dead), once an A-list comedian and now trying to be an A-list businessman, is back in TBS’s new unscripted comedy series MINDING THE STORE, for which he is offering a money-back guarantee, unprecedented for a television show. Shore will offer any viewer who fails to laugh after watching the half-hour fish-out-of-water comedy series $1. MINDING THE STORE, slated to premiere with back-to-back episodes Sunday, July 17, at 10 p.m. (ET/PT), comes to TBS from Shapiro/Grodner Productions (Big Brother) and Bayonne Entertainment (Welcome to the Neighborhood, Blow Out), with Arnold Shapiro, Allison Grodner and Rob Lee executive-producing.
