Rock Star Finalist Ty Taylor To Star In Musical Chess

CBS might have canceled Rock Star after just two season, but several
participants from the show are still going strong in building their
careers. Many viewers of Rock Star: INXS will likely remember Ty
Taylor as one of the early favorites to win the competition. Ty Taylor
made it to sixth place on the show, and J.D. Fortune wound up
eventually winning Rock Star INXS.

Rock Star Dilana Signs Co-Publishing Agreement With Cherry Lane

Cherry Lane Music Publishing Company Inc., whose roster includes
songwriters such as Quincy Jones, the Black Eyed Peas, and John Legend,
has signed a worldwide, long term, co-publishing agreement with
sensational rocker Dilana Robichaux, who is best known for her
participation on the hit CBS reality-show Rock Star: Supernova.

Tommy Lee & Dave Navarro Of Rock Star To Appear On NBC’s New Year’s Eve With Carson Daly

"NBC’s New Year’s Eve with Carson Daly, Presented by Chevrolet" will broadcast live on NBC from two of the top cities for ringing in the New Year–New York City and Las Vegas. Hosted by Carson Daly of NBC’s late-night show "Last Call with Carson Daly," the special will air December 31 at 11:30 p.m. (ET) and will include guest appearances by Hayden Panettiere from NBC’s breakout hit of the television season "Heroes," rockers Tommy Lee and Dave Navarro as well as the band OK Go.

Ryan Star To Release Album

After Ryan Star gained a great deal of buzz and became a fan favorite on a popular reality-based television program featuring top musicians from around the world , Stone Crow/ KOCH Records are officially releasing Songs From the Eye of An Elephant, a stripped down collection of outtakes and demos highlighting Ryan Star’s pure talent. The album is being rush-released for a September 19th in-store date.

Rock Star Supernova Winner Is Lukas Rossi

To kick off the Rock Star Supernova finale, Brooke Burke announces that at some point during the voting Lukas Rossi, Toby Rand, and Magni all fell into the bottom two. The rock singers who ultimately wound up in the bottom two are Magni and Toby Rand. Magni performs “Fire” by Jimi Hendrix. Toby Rand performs “White Wedding” by Billy Idol.

Who Will Win Rock Star Supernova?

Before the final four perform on Rock Star Supernova, Dilana reveals that Ryan Star won the viewer vote to return for an encore. Ryan Star performs his original song “Back of Your Car.” Brooke Burke tells Ryan Star that as part of winning the viewer vote that he also gets a new Honda CR-V.

Should Rock Star Eliminations Be Decided Entirely By Viewer Vote?

For the second week in a row, the Rock Star Supernova judges have made a very controversial elimination. Last week, the judges heaped praise on Ryan Star before sending him home. Ryan Star had been coming on strong in the competition and had even been labeled “the dark horse” by Dave Navarro, so his elimination was a shock to many fans. The studio crowed booed Supernova’s decision, and viewers protested on the Internet.

Rock Star Supernova Results – Storm Large Eliminated

For the results show, Supernova selects Magni to perform the original song “It’s All Love” with them. Brooke Burke informs the rock singers that whoever gets the encore for tonight will win a Honda Element SC. Gilby Clarke tells viewers that Dave Navarro and his new band The Panic Channel will be joining the Rock Star Supernova tour. Jason Newsted selects Toby Rand to perform an encore of his original song “Throw It Away.” Toby Rand dedicates his performance to The Crocodile Hunter.

Rock Star Supernova – A Storm Hits Rock Star

To kick off the show, Brook Burke points out that last week’s eliminated rock singer Ryan Star has the top three music downloads on MSN.com, including the number one spot with his original “Back Of My Car.” Brooke Burke also reveals that Dilana ripped a calf muscle in rehearsal, but like a true rock professional she is still going to perform. For her first song, Dilana performs “Behind Blue Eyes” by The Who. For her second song, Dilana performs the original song “SuperSoul.” After Dave Navarro compliments Dilana on not letting her injury affect her performance, Dave Navarro says “Your original wasn’t really my favorite thing that I’ve heard out of you.” However, Tommy Lee says “I might have to box Dave here in a little bit, because I really did dig the original track.”

Rock Star Supernova – Dilana’s Comments Create Controversy Among Fans

This weeks Rock Star Supernova MSN webisode starts off with Dilana calling her elimination show performance the worst performance of her life. The rock singers then unwind by throwing food and wine in each other’s faces and taking a swim. For this week’s rock clinic, the rock singers get to write lyrics to a new Supernova track. Most of the rock singers immediately start writing down lyrics for the track, but Dilana struggles to come up with ideas.
