It seems like with everything that Martha has going on that she has very little time for her reality show. Martha is too busy choosing the color for the February cover of her magazine to meet with the teams in person to assign them this week’s task. The teams have to get their assignment via video conferencing. Each team gets $40,000 to spend on creating a retail store for the Tassimo Hot Beverage System, and the winner will be the team with the highest sales.
Jim tests his fate again as project manager in this week’s task involving the new Tassimo Hot Beverage System on NBC’s "The Apprentice: Martha Stewart" (November 16, 9-10 pm ET). After an emotional reunion with the returning candidates to the loft, the teams quickly re-group and learn the art of selling a "perfect cup of coffee." Marcela leads "Matchstick" marking the second time she and Jim have gone head-to-head as project managers.
After last week’s double elimination, Primarius only has three members compared to Matchstick’s five. In a rare live appearance in front of the teams, Martha Stewart decides to even things out and sends Dawna from Matchstick to Primarius. Martha assigns the teams the task of selling an outdoor product on QVC. The team with the most revenue at the end of ten minutes will win the task.
NBC Universal announced recently that "The Apprentice: Martha Stewart" finale will be broadcast live on Wednesday, December 21 from 8-10 pm ET/PT. The two-hour finale will feature the culmination of the final two tasks, a cast reunion and the live conference room hiring where the newest Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia employee will receive a $250,000 ‘apprenticeship’ working alongside Stewart and her executives.
It’s been a brutal two weeks for Apprentice candidates. Last week, Donald Trump fired four Apprentice candidates. This week, Martha Stewart had her own mini-massacre in the conference room and sent two Apprentice candidates packing.
Both teams take to the streets of New York City with a mobile billboard campaign to promote a stain remover stick. One team’s concept is all washed up while the other group goes for a knockout punch. The winners enjoy breakfast with Martha at her Bedford farm and the losers must plead their case in the conference room. The Apprentice Martha Stewart airs on NBC on Wednesday, November 2, 2005 at 9P.M. ET.
Jim Bozzini returns from the conference room and tells the other candidates, “I warned her not to take me in there, and she’s gone, so whatever.” Martha Stewart then shows up for a surprise visit. After pointing out a dead flower and an overflowing trashcan, Martha challenges Jim to take the project manager role.
After narrowly escaping last week’s firing, Martha Stewart challenges Jim to become the project manager for the next task on NBC’s "The Apprentice: Martha Stewart" as candidates compete to raise money for The Beneful Celebrity Dog Auction (October 26, 9-10 pm ET). Stewart surprises the candidates with an impromptu trip to the loft and while there asks Jim, "You have not been a project manager yet, are you ready for a project?" Jim readily accepts the challenge. Stewart chides, "It might be mutiny on the part of your team!"
It’s episode five of The Apprentice Martha Stewart and Jim Bozzini continues to push the envelope. Martha Stewart decides that it’s time to do something about Matchstick’s losing streak and she reshuffles the teams. Ryan and Jennifer are asked to take turns picking members for new teams.
Martha Stewart tosses up a salad and the team roster on NBC’s "The Apprentice: Martha Stewart" as candidates create a limited edition salad dressing for Wish-Bone (October 19, 9-10 pm ET). Before assigning a task, Stewart addresses the candidates in an impromptu meeting. "This is what we’d do here at Martha Stewart Living if a team wasn’t working, we would re-shuffle, we would bring in different blood…" says Stewart, after four consecutive losses for "Matchstick." "Without a sense of teamwork I think it’s really hard to build a great business."
