In "The Next Best Thing: Who is the Greatest Celebrity Impersonator?," America’s vote was revealed! Trent Carlini as "Heartbreak Elvis" from Las Vegas, Nevada won the title of "The Next Best Thing" and the $100,000 grand prize in a live episode at the Orpheum Theatre. Judges Jeffrey Ross ("Comedy Central Roasts," "The Aristocrats"), Lisa Ann Walter ("The Parent Trap," "Shall We Dance?") and Elon Gold ("Stacked," "Cheaper By the Dozen") presided over the live event. Michele Merkin ("Foody Call," "Extreme Dodgeball") hosted the festivities.

The Next Best Thing Ten Finalists Compete

narrowed hundreds of impersonator hopefuls down to 10 finalists. In
this episode, celebrity impersonators will strut their stuff in front

– Jeffrey Ross ("Comedy Central Roasts," "The Aristocrats"), Lisa Ann
Walter ("The Parent Trap," "Shall We Dance?") and Elon Gold ("Stacked,"

ABC Announces The Next Best Thing

From producers Peter Engel and Barry Katz (both of "Last Comic
Standing"), "The Next Best Thing: Who is the Greatest Celebrity
Impersonator?" (fka "The Imposter") begins production March 5, 2007,
with auditions in Los Angeles, CA. The hour-long alternative series on
the search to find the best celebrity impersonator is scheduled to air
this summer on the ABC Television Network.
