And Yet Another Dance Show Hits the Tube

Well, dance junkies, you’ve got your wish: another dance competition show will be debuting tonight on Lifetime.
Actually, the folks at Lifetime did a nice job keeping the lid on this one, making noises about creating a dance reality show called Dance Nation, when in fact what it was putting together was Your Mama Can’t Dance, a dance competition where 10 professional dancers will try to teach their parents how to dance.
The show will be hosted by Beverly Hills, 90210 star Ian Ziering, who competed in the fourth season of thereality dance show giant, Dancing with the Stars. Thedancers will be judged by choreographer Cris Judd, Tony Award-winner Ben Vereen, and singer Vitamin C, and will be competing in front of a liveaudience for a grand prize of $100,000. Viewers at home will be able to vote via telephone, text messaging, and the Internet to help decide the winner.
Your Mama Don’t Dance premieres tonight and will run for eight weeks on Lifetime.
