You know, there are so many horrible celebrity stories out there, we thought we’d kick off the weekend with a good one instead. And as if we needed yet another reason to love Blake Shelton, the Country music superstar gave it to us any way. And The Voice mentor proved to be more than just a Country singer for one Oklahoma man, who says that Shelton saved the day for him during tropical storm Bill.
Ever since The Voice wrapped up the current season, rumors have been abuzz on Facebook and other social media sites about which coaches would return for the next season. We heard that Christina Aguilera‘s bad attitude could get her booted, while Justin Bieber was said to be replacing Pharrell Williams. Now it’s time to put the rumors to rest as NBC announced which judges will be back for season nine.
When Anthony Riley was found dead in Philadelphia the other day, many of his fans on Facebook assumed that he’d died of a drug overdose. The Voice star’s problems with substance abuse had come to light following his sudden exit from the show, and, while he subsequently spent time in rehab, relapse certainly seemed like a possibility for the talented, but troubled musician. Despite these rumors, a new report has confirmed that Anthony committed suicide.
From the moment he stepped in front of the four judges on The Voice, it was obvious that Sawyer Fredericks would inevitably be this season’s winner. However, plenty of other standout artists also took the stage during season eight, including the remarkably talented Anthony Riley. Sadly, Anthony’s career was cut short far too soon, as he was recently found dead in Philadelphia.
Pharrell has been a very interesting presence on The Voice, and obviously, he knows exactly what it takes to beat Blake Shelton. But despite the recent victory of Team Pharrell’s Sawyer Fredericks, it looks like the popular coach may be finished with the show. The latest rumors on Facebook indicate that he will be replaced by none other than Justin Bieber!
The Voice just wrapped up the current season, and many Facebook fans still feel that Christina Aguilera‘s team was robbed. Now, there is even more bad news for team Christina fans, as rumor has it that Aguilera may not be back for another season – all because of her bad attitude!
Despite his recent victory on The Voice, Sawyer Fredericks has no intention of immediately moving to Los Angeles in order to pursue his music career. Instead, he will return to the farm, which his brothers and dad have been working on during the majority of Sawyer’s journey on The Voice. There, he will finally be able to enjoy some much-needed peace and quiet.
As the most recent winner of The Voice, Sawyer Fredericks now has the opportunity to make a name for himself outside of the reality TV world. Between his relatability and sheer natural talent, Sawyer should have no trouble achieving success in the competitive music industry. First, however, he wants to return home and take a break from the spotlight. His humble response to last night’s victory was expected, and yet, it proves why he’s garnered such an impressive following on Facebook.
Last night’s final performance episode was, at times, rather disappointing — particularly when the remaining contestants performed with their coaches. But that doesn’t mean they aren’t excellent candidates for the top four. They’ll have a few more chances to prove why they deserve to be in the finale, although, of course, their fates have already been sealed by iTunes downloads and fan votes.
Team Christina is out of contention…and this is definitely the biggest travesty of the current season of The Voice. The finale seems a bit pointless, since everybody has already agreed that Sawyer Fredericks is destined to win the competition (and Meghan Linsey is destined to take second place). Still, it’s fun to celebrate a season chock full of amazing artists.
