It was back to the #SpyShack for Tony on Survivor: Cagayan as his allies were totally pissed he had flipped on them to vote out LJ.  Going way back to the first episode, Tony piled up branches and leaves right next to the tribe’s water well to create Spy Shack 2.0.  This makeshift shanty was built with one goal in mind: To secretly listen to the strategies of anybody trotting by.  And it didn’t take long for his prey to fall into the shack trap.

Survivor: Cagayan Interview — LJ McKanas Wants To Play Again… Badly

April 17, 2014 12:53:05 by Ryan Haidet

It was another beautiful blindside.  Tony Vlachos orchestrated a chaotic scheme to vote LJ McKanas, a horse trainer from Massachusetts, out of Survivor: Cagayan.  His plan worked and LJ, the “horse whisperer,” found himself seated on the jury.  Although LJ says he is bitter about Tony’s decision, he doesn’t hold it against him.  Instead, LJ repeated multiple times in our interview that Tony is the only person truly playing the game.  In our chat, LJ also revealed why he’s frustrated with Trish Hegarty, explains why he’s been in touch with casting about the possibility of playing the game again and reveals what “LJ” actually stands for.

Survivor: Cagayan Recap — A Beautiful Blindside

April 16, 2014 06:05:49 by Ryan Haidet

tony-vlachos-survivor-cagayan-cbs

Tony Vlachos is a name we will long be associating with Survivor.  His big moves and big personality on Survivor: Cagayan will go down as one of the most memorable in the show’s history.  Tonight’s episode centralized on Tony’s paranoia.  No joke.  The ENTIRE episode focused on what Tony’s next move would be.  He was so paranoid that he found himself focused on targeting a member of his solid six-way alliance.  Why?  He didn’t like the fact he got votes at the previous Tribal Council and felt like it was time to make the move to boot LJ out of the game.  Did his plan pan out?  Jump inside this story to see a complete breakdown and more pictures from the episode.

Survivor: Cagayan Interview — Morgan McLeod Says She’s Really Not Lazy

April 10, 2014 03:29:13 by Ryan Haidet

Lazy.  Queen.  A dying dog.  Definitely not the kindest of words, but these were all used to describe Morgan McLeod on Survivor: Cagayan by her fellow castaways.  The self-described cutie took a lot of heat — especially in the latest episode — but was it all warranted?  I spoke with Morgan about her apparent laziness and discussed her feelings toward Kass.  Interestingly, she is also the second person I’ve interviewed this season who says Trish is playing the best game (?!?!).  But my favorite nugget of info came when she talked about being selected for the show.  Turns out she was friends with two former One World contestants who got her in touch with casting.  As always, it’s all about who you know.

Fans are gushing praise for this week’s episode of Survivor: Cagayan after a wild Tribal Council brought two hidden Immunity Idols into play before a big blindside.  Sarah Lacina, the castaway on the bad end of the blindside, discussed that shocking moment with us in an interview Thursday.  While saying she doesn’t hate Kass McQuillen for switching sides and voting against her, she did declare that the two of them will never have a friendship outside of the game.  She also weighed in on Tony and revealed which castaway she believes is playing the best game (it just might surprise you).

The commercials for this week’s episode were promising a shocking Tribal Council on Survivor: Cagayan.  So many times before, the “shocking” promises don’t deliver.  But tonight, it was literally another jaw-dropping hour of television.  This season of Survivor is proving to be one of the best with great characters, big strategy and incredible blindsides!  If you missed this episode, you really did miss out on several exciting moments.

Survivor: Cagayan Interview With Alexis Maxwell — Twerking Helped Get Me On The Show

March 27, 2014 04:15:02 by Ryan Haidet

You read that headline right.  Alexis Maxwell, one of the funniest, most bubbly castaways I’ve ever interviewed, says she landed her spot on Survivor: Cagayan for her twerking ability.  Strangely, she and her father actually applied to be on the show together even before CBS decided to do Survivor: Blood Vs. Water.  Alexis also admits she could forsee the exact days the tribal swap and merge were coming.  How?  These are just a few of the fun factoids Alexis, who openly admits her numerous game mistakes, dished out when we talked today.  I think you’re really going to appreciate this one.  Enjoy!

Survivor: Cagayan Interview — Lindsey Ogle Unleashes Her Thoughts On Trish Hegarty

March 27, 2014 02:00:34 by Ryan Haidet

Does she regretting quitting Survivor: Cagayan?  ”Hell no!”  Despite her desire to stay in the competition, Lindsey Ogle, a hairstylist from Indiana, opted to remove herself from the game to prevent a possible physical showdown with her arch enemy, Trish Hegarty.  From the first day, the two never seemed to gel and it all ignited in an argument at Solana beach when Lindsey’s ally, Cliff, was voted out.  To escape the war of words, Lindsey walked away and sat in the sand away from camp.  When Jeff Probst arrived, she was ready to pull herself out of the game.  Today, I got to chat with Lindsey about her decision at length.  She stands by her move and became emotional at one point when discussing her daughter.  Although she did ultimately wish Trish the best in life, it didn’t stop Lindsey from dishing her true opinions of the woman she was moments away from scrapping with.  Plus, Lindsey also weighed in on a goofy YouTube video — see it for yourself inside this article — that’s circulating online that mimics Trish’s scratchy laugh. Enjoy!

Survivor: Cagayan Recap — Big Fight Leads To Big Decision

March 26, 2014 06:44:00 by Ryan Haidet

trish-hegarty-at-camp-survivor-cagayan-cbs

The twist of Brains vs. Brawn vs. Beauty may have dissolved on Survivor: Cagayan, but a new battle has brewed — Lindsey vs. Trish.  As soon as the Aparri tribe returned to camp after Cliff was voted out of the game, the spat started.  Trish immediately started prodding Lindsey about having nowhere to turn in the game now that her alliance was dead.  Lindsey snapped back saying everything about Trish is annoying — including her laugh, teeth and face.  Sure, arguments happen all the time on Survivor.  It’s what happened next that got Jeff Probst involved.
