That’s right, folks! All season long on American Idol, we watched Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey foam at the mouth, attack each other, and attempt to steal the spotlight from the contestants. That won’t be a problem next season, however, as we may be getting a whole new panel of judges – that is, if Country crooner Keith Urban does not return. Following the departure of Randy Jackson, both Minaj and Carey announced that they will not be returning to the show for season 13. Hooray!

It’s been quite a ride for American Idol this past season. First, we learned that Randy Jackson, the only original judge left, would be exiting the series, and then, both Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey announced their departures. But Idol did not stop there in their “house cleaning.” Instead, upon returning from vacation, Nigel Lythgoe learned that both he and fellow producer, Ken Warwick were getting the pink slip as well. Ouch!
