It’s been way too long since we’ve seen Regis on primetime TV. But he’s ba-a-a-ack, hosting the 21st Century’s answer to an old game show. Million Dollar Password is all about the big-time: big money, big celebrities, and big stakes.
Each week contestants will pair up with a celeb, and will give one another one-word clues, trying to guess that round’s password. As each round of passwords is determined through the clues, the contestant gets closer and closer to the final password and the grand prize (that’s right: $1 million!).
Some of the celebrities who will be playing Million Dollar Password are Neil Patrick Harris (How I Met Your Mother), Rachael Ray (The Rachael Ray Show), Rosie O’Donnell, Tony Hawk, Betty White, Susie Essman (Curb Your Enthusiasm), Steven Weber (Brothers and Sisters), and Shanna Moakler (Miss USA).
Up first are Harris and Ray, the first celebrity contestants to take on Regis’ Password, during the season premiere Sunday, June 1st at 8:00 PM (ET) on CBS.

Greatest American Dog (tentative title): Dog owners and their pooches will live together and train together, tackling challenges to prove who’s the best dog trainer. It’s a dog-eat-dog (sorry, I had to) competition, with the winner walking away with a $250,000 grand prize (and bragging rights at the local bark park). Greatest American Dog premieres Thursday, July 10th at 8:00 PM (ET).
Million Dollar Password: Oh, no! Just when people stopped saying, “That’s my final answer, Regis,” he’s ba-a-a-ck! And this time Regis Philbin is taking an old television classic and bringing it into the 21st Century. Contestants will pair up with a team of celebrities, who have been given a “password” and, using only one-word cues, try to guess the word, winning up to $1 million. Celebs in queue for Million Dollar Password include Betty White, Rosie O’Donnell, Rachael Ray, Neil Patrick Harris, and Monique Coleman. Password premieres Sunday, June 1st at 8:00 PM (ET).
Jingles (tentative title): Since Mark Burnett isn’t doing anything else (ch-yeah, right!), he’s whipped up yet another reality TV concept. Jingles takes American Idol and smashes it into The Apprentice for a show that will have contestants competing against one another to write the best jingles for various products, sports teams, and more. While the grand prize has not yet been revealed, word has it the contestants will have to impress judges, a live audience and viewers (yep, we get a vote!). Jingles will premiere Sunday, July 27th.
CBS may have plenty of new shows on the summer lineup, but they haven’t forgotten the old favorites. Big Brother will also be back for a summer edition, premiering Sunday, July 13th at 8:00 PM (ET). Beginning July 15th, Big Brother will air on Tuesdays at 9:00 PM (ET) and Wednesdays at 8:00 PM (ET).
