The theme for the sixth episode of Nashville Star 6 was love songs. As the remaining six finalists waited, host Billy Ray Cyrus called them forward one by one to perform. The first finalist to learn she was safe for another week was Ashlee Hewitt.
On the fifth episode of Nashville Star 6, host Billy Ray Cyrus shook things up by opening the show by calling Melissa Lawson and Tommy Stanley to center stage. Billy Ray told Melissa and Tommy that one of them was the top vote getter and the other was the bottom vote getter from last week’s show. Billy Ray said, “The contestant whose Nashville Star dream ends right now is Tommy Stanley.”
For family night on Nashville Star, Billy Ray Cryrus’ daughter Noah Cyrus introduced her father. Each of nine remaining finalists performed two songs each. For her first song, Ashlee Hewitt sang “Don’t Stop Believin’.” Jewel said, “I really liked watching you go from the piano to the guitar, but it still looks a little bit clinical.” Jeffrey Steele said, “The Barbara Mandrell Show, you did every thing but play the steel guitar.” John Rich said, “Your vocals are starting off weak every time and ending strong. You’ve got to start strong and finish strong.”
Three former American Idol finalists and the current Nashville Star host will be among the musical acts taking part in the upcoming Country Sings Disney Collection. The collection consists of fifteen songs of classic and contemporary Disney tracks.
To kick off the Nashville Star top ten finalists performance show, host Billy Ray Cyrus called Tommy Stanley and Gabe Garcia to center stage. Billy Ray announced that Gabe Garcia was among the top vote getters but that Tommy Stanley was in the bottom two.
On the second episode of Nashville Star 6, the eleven finalists were divided into three groups: men, women, and groups. John Rich mentored the women, Jewel mentored the men, and Jeffrey Steele mentored the groups. One by one, host Billy Ray Cyrus called forward the eleven remaining acts.
We are halfway through June and the weather is already hot with promises to only get hotter in the next couple of months. As we finish off the month and enter July and August, there are some fantastic shows that you simply cannot miss.

The Mercedes-Benz Summer Concert Series on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno is returning. The Summer Concert Series will include a couple of performers with ties to reality television.
It looks like country music star Trace Adkins is becoming a regular on reality TV shows. Recently, Trace Adkins appeared on the Celebrity Apprentice and made it all the way to second place. Now, Trace Adkins is scheduled to give a performance on Nashville Star 6. Trace Adkins will be performing his number one single “You’re Gonna Miss This.”
On last night’s premier episode of NBC’s Nashville Star, a couple of the judges had usthinking perhaps we were watching the judges of American Idol,but the it was the comments of judge Jewel that has us confused.
