Nashville Star Throws Out The Votes On The Best Ever Original Song Night
Original song night is always our favorite episode of Nashville Star,
because we can usually look forward to hearing at least one great
original song. It’s usually the night where one contestant emerges as
the clear front runner in the competition. On the original song night
for Nashville Star 5 something a little different happened. Instead of
hearing just one great original song, we heard several in what we think
was the best overall performance night in the history of the show.

Nashville Star Results – Meg Allison Eliminated
The Wreckers made a guest appearance on Nashville Star 5 and opened the
show with “My, Oh My.” In a twist, the judges selected the songs that
the six remaining finalists sang this week. The first singer announced as moving forward in the competition was Zac
Hacker. In a clip before his performance, Zac complained about the
song that had been selected for him. Zac sang “Something To Be Proud
Of” by Montgomery Gentry. Randy Owen said “You need to understand that
you have a great talent, but you need to be more receptive to the
things that could carry you further in this music business, and not be
negative toward that, like I saw in that clip there.” Anastasia Brown
said “I thought to myself this attitude and this kind of performance
could ruin an artist’s career, but then I remembered you don’t have one
yet, so keep on working at it.” Blake Shelton said “There’s sometimes
that you’ve got to do things that you don’t want to do, but it’s all in
your attitude how it turns out, man, just remember that.”

announced as moving forward in the competition was Meg Allison. Meg
sang “Take Me Down.” Randy Owen said “Meg, it’s great to see you
smile.” Anastasia Brown said “Meg, your arrangements and your vocals
are spot on. I think you do the best arrangements of the entire crew,
but your performance was just about as alive as overcooked pasta and
that’s not going to work.” Blake Shelton said “Is it possible for you
to make me feel like a proud father and turn me on at the same time?
Is that weird?”
