Friends and family of the late and great Whitney Houston gathered yesterday to celebrate the debut of the legendary singer’s final film, Sparkle, which also stars American Idol‘s own Jordin Sparks. As Sparkle hit the screens, Jordin Sparks had nothing but wonderful things to say about working with her very own idol!

She may be an American Idol, but for Jordin Sparks, one of the highlights of her life was working with her idol, the late Whitney Houston, on the remake of Sparkle. The premiere is set for August 17th, but the movie’s undoubted success will be bittersweet for Sparks and the rest of the all-star cast, which also includes The Voice‘s Cee Lo Green.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios looked like an American Idol reunion party last night when all seven winners of American Idol gathered together for the grand opening and VIP party for The American Idol Experience attraction at Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. More than two dozen American Idol stars in all, including both winners and finalists from the first seven seasons, plus judge Paula Abdul and the host of the show, Ryan Seacrest arrived by celebrity motorcade to the sound of cheers, applause and snapping cameras of Disney’s Hollywood Studios guests.
