Season6 American Idol winner, Jordin Sparks, will sing the national anthem in her hometown of Phoenix, Arizona on February 15 at the NBA All-Star Game. Jordin Sparks, will be joined by an all-star lineup of performers, including Chris Brown, Juanes and John Legend. American Idol season 5,third placefinalist Elliot Yamin, will join Jordin Sparks and perform the evening before at the All-Star Saturday Night event on February 14.
Season six, American Idol winner, Jordin Sparks will be in Tampa on January 27 and 28 for two fundraising events to raise money for charity. The Grammy award nominee will co-host an Up Close and Personal event with chef Roy Yamaguchi, at Roy’s Tampa restaurant on January 27. The event will feature food, drink, music, an auction and a meet-and-greet session including an acoustic performance with Jordin Sparks singing and chef Roy Yamaguchi playing the drums. On January 28, Jordin Sparks will perform in concert at Grace Family Church, in Lutz. All proceeds from the two day event go to Sparks’ Charities which is based in Tampa and run by Jordin Sparks’ godmother, Christa Watson.

Kristy Lee Cook and Blake Lewis made record label moves and now season six American Idol champion, Jordin Sparks is doing it to. “Jordin and 19 Management are parting ways,” Jordin Sparks’ mom Jodi wrote this month on her daughter’s MySpace blog. “It is a mutual decision and we are looking forward to the future!”
American Idol champion Jordin Sparks says she doesn’t regret her comment to host Russell Brand when he made his anti-purity ring jokes towards the Jonas Brothers during last Sunday’s MTV Video Music Awards. She did say that she wished that she would have worded what she said a little bit better.
Jordin Sparks, American Idol winner had more to say than just thank you while on stage at the VMA award show. She defended the Jonas Brothers use of purity rings. British Comedian, Russell Brand made jokes about the Jonas Brothers and the use of their purity rings, suggesting that the boys should be using their celebrity status to win dates and apparently sex. Russell is well known for obsessively seducing women in England.
Bad news for American Idol 6 winner Jordin Sparks. Just when her career was starting to heat up, she has been struck with an unfortunate illness. As Reality TV Magazine recently reported, Jordin Sparks performed her hit single “No Air” with Chris Brown on a recent American Idol 7 results show. On the telecast, Sparks received two platinum single plaques and a gold-certified album plaque.
Jordin Sparks also landed an opening spot on the Alicia Keys tour, which started on April 19. However, according to sources, Jordin Sparks was unable to perform on the opening date of the tour in Hampton, Virginia because of an illness.
Sparks also had a concert scheduled for Sunday, April 20 at the Bryce Jordan Center in University Park, Pennsylvania. However, the Bryce Jordan Center show has been canceled. According to a release from the Bryce Jordan Center, Jordin Sparks’ doctor informed them that she has an acute vocal cord hemorrhage condition.
A vocal cord hemorrhage is when a blood vessel on the vocal cord ruptures. It can result in permanent vocal cord damage, so it is important that people suffering from this condition have absolute voice rest.
There has been no formal announcement of how serious Jordin Sparks’ condition is or how long she will be absent from the Alicia Keys tour. Some sources are indicating that Jordin Sparks will not be able to perform again until at least the end of April.

During last week’s American Idol results show, American Idol 6 winner Jordin Sparks made a special guest appearance. Jordin Sparks along with Chris Brown treated American Idol viewers to a duet of the single “No Air.”
Since the American Idol appearance, the single “No Air” has jumped from number 7 to number 2 on the Pop Singles Chart. “No Air” has now been in the Top 10 for over a month.
After Jordin Sparks’ performance on American Idol, host Ryan Seacrest presented her with a plaque for her gold-certified album, Jordin Sparks. Seacrest also presented Jordin with two platinum single plaques for having over one million downloads each of her singles, “No Air” and “Tattoo.”
In addition to the success of her singles, Jordin Sparks is also finding success in touring. She will be opening for the Alicia Keys “As I Am” domestic tour, which starts on April 19, 2008 in Hampton, Virginia.

With American Idol 7 just get starting, it’s time to catch up with American Idol 6 winner Jordin Sparks. Sparks will be chatting with Spike Feresten on the Talkshow With Spike Feresten. Sparks will also be performing “Tattoo,” the first single from her self-titled debut album.
Jordin Sparks won American Idol at the age of seventeen, which made her the youngest American Idol winner ever. “Tattoo” from Sparks’ debut album is a platinum-selling single and top-ten hit.
Jordin Sparks appearance on Talkshow With Spike Feresten airs on Saturday, January 19 from Midnight to 12:30 AM ET/PT on FOX.
