We reported yesterday that Paula Abdul is not making or keeping any lasting friendships with her behavior and comments regarding the addition of one female judge that she claims to be friends with. Kara DioGuardi has now taken a page from Paula Abdul’s book and has snapped back and her “friends” remarks. Maybe there hasn’t been enough controversy yet on American Idol this season so the judges have decided to create some.
Paula Abdul should have learned to keep her mouth shut 9months ago when she started making cracks at the American Idol producers and the way things were being ran. It has long been suspected that Kara DioGuardi’s addition to the judging panel on American Idol is more to pave the way for Paula Abdul’s exit when her contract is up this season, and after recent comments that seems more and more likely to be true.
Well, it is clear that Kara DioGuardi has one fan from past American Idol contestants! Sanjaya Malakar, the kid everyone found irresistable during season 6 says that Kara Dioguardi is “revitalizing” the hit reality TV show. Sanjaya Malakar believes that Kara DioGuardi adds new and much needed life to the judges table which we guess he was thinking was getting a bit stale?
It’s finally time for American Idol 8 to return to television! Returning for another season are judges Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul, and Randy Jackson, who are joined by a new face, Kara DioGuardi, who has worked with Jewel, Pink, Celine Dion, and The Pussycat Dolls! This time around FOX heads to Phoenix, Arizona to begin the search for this season’s idol!
Kara DioGuardi is the new kid orwe shouldsay, newjudge on the block on American Idol and she admits that being in that position wasn’t easy. She spoke to reporters this past Thursday in a conference call to talk about her new role on the hit show and said, “It was a little unnerving. I didn’t know where I was going to sit and when I was going to speak.”
The newest American Idol judge, Kara DioGuardi says that this season the male contestants have been coming on strong and are holding an edge as the show enters into season 8. The question is…will they continue to climb to the top or will a female edge them out in the end?
When it was first announced that Kara DioGuardi would be joining the judges’ panel of American Idol 8, there was much media speculation that she might clash with Paula Abdul, who had been Idol’s lone female judge. However, American Idol executive producer Ken Warwick recently revealed that Kara DioGuardi and Paula Abdul often teamed up to give Simon Cowell grief.
The newest American Idol judge, Kara DioGuardi says that she did not join the American Idol team to edge out Paula Abdul. “Oh no. Why would I take her place?” Kara told E!, “She’s great. People love her, I’m hoping they like me. I’m not worried about taking Paula’s place, I’m trying to make sure people like me.”
Nigel Lythgoe may have left his position as Executive producer of American Idol, but his voice is echoing loud and clear from the sidelines and he isn’t happy about the show’s addition offourth judge, Kara DioGuardi. “I think she’s a lovely lady, and I think she’s relevant and up to date, but, personally, I would never have done it, Lythgoe told the New York Post in a Thursday report.
