Dancing with the Stars must have given Joey Fatone and Mel B a taste for reality. The two are teaming up for a new reality show — only this time they’re trading in their dancing shoes for music notes.
The new show, The Singing Office, will be co-hosted by the two former Dancing stars, and will pit office workers against each other. The Singing Office will surprise two workplaces and give on-the-spot auditions to workers in the office. They will choose the five best singers from each office and send them off for vocal and dance training. After the singers have been trained, they will come back to compete against one another in front of a studio audience.
Mel B tells reporters that the show is not meant to be a competitor of American Idol or Dancing with the Stars, claiming that The Singing Office is “not a serious competition.”
No definite premiere date has been set for the show, though word is it will hit the airwaves in late June. In the meantime, viewers will get to see Fatone and Mel B at the Dancing with the Stars reunion show, which is set to air May 6th in celebration of Dancing’s 100th episode.
