Last night on night three of the blind auditions for The Voice, Geoff McBride wears sunglasses because he tore his retina from a kickboxing injury in his youth. For the judges, he performs “Higher Ground” and not only gets the audience on their feet, but Christina and Cee Lo (at the last minute) turned toward the stage. “The very first note you hit blew me away,” said Christina. “You had amazing energy and you brought it the whole way through…I may not look like Cee Lo but I got soul too!” Geoff chooses to become Christina’s first recruit of the night.
Last night on night three of the blind auditions for The Voice, James Massone sings “Find Your Love” and must choose between Cee Lo, Blake and Christina. “Adam, what happened to you?” jokes James. Everyone is shocked that the guy who turned out the R&B hit is this young white guy! After breaking down on stage, James choose Team Cee Lo.
Last night on night three of the blind auditions for The Voice, Erin Martin, who made the jump from modeling to music, but record deals continue to comment that she needs development. “For once, I don’t get judged on how I look,” she said to Carson before the audition. Her unique voice while singing ”Hey There Delilah” gets the attention of Blake and Cee Lo and, of course, Cee Lo starts to flirt. “Quite naturally, you belong to me, don’t you agree?” he joked.

Everyone happily recognizes the song within the first few notes, and Blake turns around first. However, Christina and Cee Lo also turn at the song’s bridge! Man, Blake can’t catch a break…

Though he asks the two coaches to arm wrestle for him (Adam refuses), Chris chooses Adam has his mentor!
Last night on the second night of blind auditions for the second season of The Voice, Jamar Rogers, a former drug addict who is HIV-positive and volunteering in New York, is excited to perform “Seven Nation Army” for his idol, Cee Lo. Christina nudges Cee Lo to push the button, and after a few phrases of debate, he does and is welcome by Jamar’s spontaneous fan-boy confession to his new coach! Adam comments, “This is a match made in heaven, you remind me of each other.”
Last night on the second night of blind auditions for the second season of The Voice, Angel Taylor draws from her dark past when she auditions with “Someone Like You,” and all three male judges turn their chairs. After confessing that she has a huge crush on Blake, Adam again gloats his win from last season…and Angel ends up siding with Adam!
Last night on the second night of blind auditions for the second season of The Voice, Hailey Steele and Leland Grant, coupled up (platonic only!) as the country duo, THE LiNE. They each pull out their guitars for a rendition of “American Girl” that has Blake turning before the second voice debuts! Once the audience starts clapping along, the rest of the judges buy into their upbeat energy and turn their chairs as well. Every judge hilariously presents their case as the best coach for the duo, but the two choose Christina (which, in my opinion, is a bad choice. We’ll see how that turns out.). Blake Shelton agrees with me: “I think they were pulled by flash…and boobs.”

Blake hopes he doesn’t lose another country singer to a fellow coach: “If you look across this panel, you’ll see spikes and things like that; I’m your country guy.” Gwen becomes Blake’s second team member.
Last night on the second night of blind auditions for the second season of The Voice, Kim Yarbrough auditions for the show at fifty years old with “Tell Me Something Good” and Adam corrects her saying, “Your name is Chaka Khan, baby!” Blake digs at Christina, saying that Adam’s the one who won the entire competition last season. The argument works, and Kim chooses Adam.
