Bravo Seeking Casts for Top Design and Shear Genius

Shear Genius Logo Courtesy NBCHey, designers and hair-extraordinaires! As you know, Bravo has announced that there will be new seasons of Top Design and Shear Genius in 2008. Now they’re looking for casts for those shows.

Top Design, a show in which interior designers compete for a $100,000 cash prize, will be holding open casting calls at the following locations:

Friday, January 25, 4:00pm – 6:00pm
Saturday, January 26, 10:00am – 12:00pm
The Art Institute of California – San Francisco

Monday, January 28 & Tuesday, January 29, 12:00pm – 5:00pm
World Market Center – Las Vegas

Bravo TV Brings Back Top Design for a Second Season

Got design? Bravo TV’s popular reality series Top Design will be coming back for a second season, Frances Berwick, Executive Vice President, Programming & Production announced.

This season, production company Magical Elves will be giving Top Design a makeover, in hopes of taking the show to the same heights as some of the other Bravo shows they’ve backed – Top Chef and Project Runway, just to name a couple.

In Top Design, a group of hotshot designers, architects, and artists compete through various design challenges, all vying for a $100,000 cash prize.

Casting for Top Design will begin in the next few weeks. Check out if you think you’ve “got design.”

Top Design Winner Is Matt Lorenz

Matt_lorenzThe winner of Bravo’s Top Design is thirty-two year old Matt Lorenz,
who is from Comfrey, Minnesota but currently resides in Chicago.  In
the Top Design finale, Matt defeated twenty-six year old Carisa
Perez-Fuentes, who is from Highland Park, New Jersey but currently
resides in New York.

Bravo Announces Sponsors For Top Design

Bravo announced today that GMC,, Bacardi Limon, and Thomasville Furniture have been named partners for Bravo’s new hour-long 10-episode interior design competition series, “Top Design,” premiering on Wednesday, January 31 at 11 PM ET/PT. And, ELLE DECOR Magazine has signed on as the on-air magazine sponsor. The announcement was made today by Shari Post, Vice President, Ad Sales, Bravo.

Top Design Cast Revealed

Bravo turns the spotlight from the culinary arts to interior design with the series premiere of the new one-hour 10-episode competition reality series “Top Design.” Off the heels of the critically-acclaimed “Top Chef” and the Emmy-nominated hit “Project Runway,” Bravo’s newest reality competition series “Top Design” offers a behind-the-scenes look at the creative, competitive and client-driven interior design business. Popular designer and personality Todd Oldham hosts and is joined by renowned designer Jonathan Adler, as lead judge, and series judges Margaret Russell, editor-in-chief of ELLE DECOR Magazine and interior designer Kelly Wearstler. “Top Design” premieres on Wednesday, January 31 at 11 PM ET/PT, following “Top Chef’s” season two finale, and moves to its regular 10 PM timeslot on Wednesday, February 7. The announcement was made by Lauren Zalaznick, President, Bravo.
