ABC’s Summer Schedule Includes Plenty of Reality…
ABC has announced its summer schedule, and it includes plenty of entertainment for reality TV fans. From Japanese game shows to dance shows to a British betting show, ABC’s got the reality lineup to beat!
Here are some of the shows you can expect to see this summer on ABC:
Wipeout (premieres Tuesday, June 24th at 8:00 PM ET):
Hosted by ESPN’s SportCenter’s John Anderson, this show will have contestants competing on extreme obstacle courses for the title of Wipeout Champion and $50,000.
I Survived a Japanese Game Show (premieres Tuesday, June 24th at 9:00 PM ET):
This show will send 10 competitors to Japan to compete in the ultimate Japanese game show. The contestant who adapts best to Japanese culture and performs the best in challenges will win.
Dance Machine (premieres Friday, June 27th at 8:00 PM ET):
Another dance show, you may groan? Yes, but this one’s got an interesting twist! Hosted by E!’s Jason Kennedy, each week Dance Machine will feature six dancers from all walks of life competing against one another for the prize of $100,000. (Hint: there just might be a 70-year old grandma pitted against a 25-year old gravedigger, dancing to Michael Jackson’s Thriller in this one…).
Wanna Bet (premieres Monday, July 21st at 9:00 PM ET):
Drew Lachey, Sherri Shepherd, Bill Engvall and Scott Hamilton are the celebrity judges/contestants for this British show. Each week the judges will have an opportunity to bet on the success of various stunts and challenges performed by everyday people in front of a live studio audience. Their bets could potentially earn them big money for the charity of their choice. British comedians Ant and Dec host.
