Tori Spelling Launches Web Series Based On Her Book Mommywood

As if being the star of your own reality TV show, a best-selling author, an actress, an entrepreneur, and a mother of two isn’t enough, Tori Spelling has launched a new internet series based on her book Mommywood. The series will delve deeper into Tori and Dean’s relationship and the issues they face as working parents living in the spotlight. Keep reading for more details…

As reported by Entertainment Tonight, the 10 three-to-five minute webisodes bring to life Tori Spelling and hubby Dean McDermott’s joys and challenges parenting in Hollywood, including dealing with paparazzi, first-time mom anxieties, losing the baby weight and, of course, Tori’s relationship with mom Candy Spelling. Each episode focuses on a chapter from the book.

“Our audience’s appetite for everything Tori seems limitless,” says Jason Klarman, general manager, Oxygen Media. “So launching our first Web series based on one of her best selling books seemed like a no brainer.”

The series will be available at www.oxygen.com/mommywood and are a compliment to the network’s hit series, Tori and Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood.

So You Think You Can Dance: Katie Holmes To Dance For 100th Episode

It has finally been confirmed that Katie Holmes will indeed make a performance on So You Think You Can Dance. The actress is scheduled to perform on the show’s 100th episode, which falls on July 23, 2009. Keep reading for more details…

According to Usmagazine.com, Nigel Lythgoe has confirmed the rumors that Katie Holmes will perform on So You Think You Can Dance. Lythgoe confirmed that Holmes’ dance will be Judy Garland-themed, and that she’ll hit the stage on the 100th episode.

“They are making it seem like a huge Broadway production,” another source told Us. “It’s a massive set.

Holmes is donating her performance fee to the Dizzy Feet Foundation, created by Lythgoe, Dancing With the Stars judge Carrie Ann Inaba and choreographer Adam Shankman. The foundation provides scholarships to underprivileged youth.

Katie’s performance will air July 23.

The Rachel Zoe Project Season 2 Premieres August 25, 2009

Season 2 of The Rachel Zoe Project will premiere on Bravo on Tuesday, August 25 at 10PM ET/PT. Similar to its first season last fall, the upcoming second installment will continue to chronicle the styling business of celebrity stylist Rachel Zoe and her team of fashion experts. According to the press release, some of the drama that will be featured on the upcoming season will include the continuing tension between assistants Brad and Taylor; snags in the team’s couture clothing searches due to the economic recession; the team’s visit to Paris Fashion Week; and Rachel’s attempts to find some quality time with her husband Roger.

Several of the world’s biggest designers will also make appearances on the new season, including Giorgio Armani, John Galliano, Christian Lacroix, Karl Lagerfeld, Giambattista Valli, Diane Von Furstenberg and Matthew Williamson.

Bravo renewed The Rachel Zoe Project for a second season in December after its first edition averaged 1.060 million total viewers and 752,000 viewers in the Adults 18-49 demographic.

The Bachelorette: Jake Pavelka On Confronting Wes

Last week on The Bachelorette, we all breathed a sigh of relief when Jake Pavelka flew back to tell Jillian Harris that Wes was the one who had a girlfriend. Of course, Wes weaseled his way out of it as usual and Jillian recently defended her reasons for keeping him. Keep reading to get Jake’s take on all of this…

According to a report from Entertainment Tonight, Jake says that even though it played out that way, he isn’t sorry that he made the decision to tell Jillian the truth. “My reaction was that it is good that his family reacted that way. Families are supposed to be biased and protect their own,” the 31-year-old commercial pilot from Denton, TX tells ET. “I wasn’t surprised or hurt. I do care about Wes, and I know he is probably having a little bit of a hard time right now. I didn’t do it to hurt him. I did it to help Jillian and I had that discussion with her.”

Jake is standing by his words, even though Laurel Kagay, who is Wes’ alleged girlfriend, told PEOPLE that she and Wes are just friends.

“They had an agreement, and this came from Wes, that they were going to put the relationship on the backburner, so he could go on there and sell CDs,” Jake claims. “What I was wondering was: When all this comes into play, what [is Wes] going to do when it comes to the final two and you go behind locked doors? Is that okay with Laurel? Evidently, she has cleared him to kiss [Jillian], but I bet she is not okay with anything more.”

Despite receiving the news about Wes, Jillian still presented him with a rose at the end of Monday night’s episode, moving him forward in her search for love.

Jake gives ET his reason for what lots of folks perceive as a bad decision on Jillian’s part: “When you are falling in love, who is to say it is a bad decision? I think she is just following her heart. Some people just like a certain type. People tend to stick with what they are comfortable with and what they know. Sometimes you have to jump out of your skin. What I mean by that is the bad boys are going to keep women single. If that is what makes you comfortable, then it is an uphill battle to have one of those happily ever after-type relationships that everybody is after.”

So would Jake do it all again? Would he be the next Bachelor?

“After seeing how the show works, and seeing how much love the producers have [for the show], and how comfortable they make everything, I would consider it,” he tells ET.

ABC To Premiere Reality Comedy Series ‘The Fast & The Funniest’

According to The Hollywood Reporter, ABC has ordered The Fast & The Funniest, a new reality series from former Last Comic Standing producers Page Hurwitz and Javier Winnik.

The series’ order is cast-contingent, according to The Reporter. The Fast & the Funniest will follow a group of stand-up comedians as they travel across the country and compete in various challenges and performances to see who is the funniest on the fly. In the end, the final three contestants will compete for a cash prize.

The Fast & The Funniest is currently slated to debut late midseason or early next summer if a cast can be assembled, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
